Academic Advisory Board

ILAM Advisory Board holds professionals from the Logistics & Aviation Industry and the Academia. The Academic Advisory board is designed to render advice to the management on any matter pertaining to academics, course curriculum and the training programs. The idea is to bridge the gap between the needs of the industry and aspirations of academic team. The Academics advisory board continuously works on advanced programs to keep the course curriculum abreast with the current industry practices.

Academic Advisory Board Members

Mr. Sudesh K. Bhagat

A Chartered Accountant with varied experience of 24 years in the field of Finance and International Transportation & Logistics spreading across the boundaries of Indian Sub-Continent and Gulf States. He has explored the International Transportation and Logistics arena both as Customer and Service Provider. The early 5 years of his career were spend with a well-known Indian Company as accountant, post which he had spent the next 10 years with one of the world's oldest and most respected multinational "buying organisation" looking after their Finance and Logistics activities. Since the last 8+ years he has been working with a multinational "International Transportation and Logistics" organisation. His Prime area of interest has been Air Freight business.

Captain Pawanexh Kohli

Mr. Kohli is the current Founder, Principal Consultant, Crosstree Techno-visors. Prior to which he has worked with Acme Cold Chain Solutions as an Associate Vice President (Business Head – Transport Solutions, Cold Chain Solutions and Infrastructure, Head Design and Development). He has also worked with companies like Dole Fresh Fruit Intnl – Dole Food Co., Barbers Wilhemsen Shipping, Shipping Corporation of India. In his career, he has worked on various assignments pertaining to Logistics and Supply Chain Management and various other verticals. Apart from this, he is an Advisor at ILFS for GOI program (to be initiated) on training needs for cold-supply-chain.

Mr. Rahul Doger

He started his career with APL Logistics and was there for 6 years before moving to Geo Logistics. He has worked as a Regional Operations Manager, South Asia for IKEA. Currently he heads the international Logistics Division for Aqua Logistics. Mr. Doger is a Civil Engineer by qualification; he also holds an MBA degree.

Mr. Sameer Khatri

Mr. Sameer has approximately 20 years of experience in the Logistics Industry. He has worked with Max Global, AFL, UTI, Pan-Alpina and is currently working as a Chief International Business Officer with Gati. His educational qualification includes B.Com (Hons.) from Delhi University and Post-graduation in Marketing and Advertising.

Ms. Pooja Sharma

She holds 5 years of experience as a Marketing Head, Asia Pacific with Track on Logistics. Ms. Pooja also holds a green belt six sigma certification. Currently she is working as the Marketing Head, India with Aqua Logistics. She has done her Bachelors in English Literature and Post-Graduation in Marketing.

Mr. Govind. K. Jaju

Mr. Govind started his career with Nicolas and headed the purchase, Logistics, Planning & Distribution vertical for 17 years. For the past 15 years he has been working with Ranbaxy and heading the global material sourcing & Supply Chain Vertical. Mr. Govind holds a graduate degree in Pharmacy, PG Diploma in Management, an LLB degree and a Diploma in Business & Industrial Management.

Mr. Pradeep Mishra

He started his career as a Management trainee with Patel roadways ltd and worked under different verticals for 17 years. After which he joined safexpress in 1994, in safexpress he took charge of the initial administration & operation Procedure and currently he is working as a Sr. Corporate Manager. By qualification he holds a UG & a PG Degree in Arts.

Mr. Kamal Kapoor

Mr. Kapoor started his career at the age of 19 from a Transport Company in 1981 having all India Network. He Learnt tricks of the trade by working in different verticals of the Logistics Industry and rose to be the Business Development Manager by 1985. After which he got an offer from Reliance Industries in 1986 as Logistic Head in the Polyester business, presently he is working as Vice - President Logistics with Reliance.

Dr. Bhimaraya A. Metri

Dr. Metri is the Professor of Operations Management as well as the Dean (Academic Programmes) at MDI Gurgaon. Previously¸ he was the Chairman of the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM). He is also the Chairman for the Centre for Supply Chain Management (C-SCM). Prior to joining MDI¸ he has served at the Department of Management Studies¸ Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS)¸ Pilani. Dr. Metri has 20 years of experience in teaching¸ research and consultancy. Dr. Metri has published over 70 papers in International and National Journals and Proceedings. He educational qualifications include his Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)¸ Bombay, Master Degree in Engineering from Shivaji University¸ Kolhapur and First Degree in Engineering from Govt. College of Engineering¸ Karad. He is a Certified Lead Auditor in Quality Management System (QMS).
